Ulug's Japanese Blog

I'm Ulug Kuzuoglu, a newly arrived PhD student at Columbia University. I study international and global history with a focus on East Asia, and that is one of the reasons I started studying Japanese. I can speak Chinese as well, but to have a good understanding of East Asian history, Japanese is indispensable.

Hope to have more to share as we travel through lands and languages...

  3. Ulug, so cool that you're trying to master all the languages of the region you're interested in, especially as they're so different from any Western tongue. Is Korean next? Also, sweet name.
