I took the easier way to find some new katakana words, and asked some Japanese friends.
Here are some interesting words:
1) ドンマイ - Don't mind
2) イデオロギー - ideology
3) スタバる - to go to Starbucks
4) マグカップ - Mugcup
1, 2 and 4 definitely belong to the loanwords category, but スタバる does not really belong to any category at all...

I think スタバる is a very new word and also is probably only used by young people. A lot of young Japanese people put る to some random noun and make that into a verb.
